Mielessäni on tila joka avartuu, yhtä hyvin ajassa kuin avaruudessa.
Se voi olla aukko, aukea tai täydellinen tyhjä;
saattaa olla että siinä jotakin tulee tapahtumaan.

Mitä tarkempi olen, sitä varmemmin jää maalaukseeni jotakin, mikä vielä ei ole selkeätä.
Minua kiehtoo se hetki jolloin jokin mahdollisuus, jokin ”ehkä” on vasta aavistettavissa.

Liike voi olla värähdys, häivähdys, kesken jäävä tai pois pyyhkiytyvä ele.
Olemme siinä, missä sanoja ei vielä ole.

In my mind there is a space that opens up,
both in time and in space.
It can be an opening, an aperture or an unbounded infinity,
it may be that something will be happening there.

The more exact I am,
the more definitely something remains in the painting,
something that is not yet clear.
I am fascinated by the moment when one can first sense
a possibility, a perhaps.

The movement can be a trembling, a flickering,
a half-gesture or an obliterating gesture.
We are where there are not yet any words.
